Described as ‘object theatre with a bit of puppetry’, Something is Rotten is a 60-minute comic retelling of Shakespeare’s Hamlet. With two performers they endeavor to tell the story in a makeshift castle with a few pieces of string, a fork, a kettle, a rose, and some other accessories.
Created by Pier Porcheron of Elvis Alatac, the retelling is a clumsily beautiful fusion of DIY puppetry and dramatic theatre.
