Objects in Motion presents a night of rare international animated shorts curated by local artist and animator, Myron Campbell. Settle in for an evening of experimental animation showcasing both seasoned and emerging independent filmmakers from Canada and beyond.

Programming runs about 75-80 minutes in length approx. The following films are a sampling of what you will experience:

Erodium Thunk

A Short film by Winston Hacking — Canada, 2018

The piece is an endless barrage of hyperlinked cable television commercials. With equal doses of satire and nostalgia, the promised pleasures of late consumer capitalism are deconstructed through a contemporary form of détournement. – Clint Enns

Erodium Thunk

A Short film by Tomek Popakul — Poland, 2018

ACID RAIN is set in post-industrial Eastern Europe and follows a young woman who runs away from her depressing hometown. That’s how she meets Skinny – a kind of unstable weirdo who lives in a camper and runs his not-so-legal errands. Their journey gradually leads them towards more and more eerie settings, revealing the attraction and repulsion of rave culture.
